If you’ve been around for a while, chances are you’ve heard us mention Zapier more than once. We just can’t help it — this workflow automation tool is literally changing how the world works!
Sound a little dramatic? Stay with us, we’ll explain.
Zapier is an automation tool that connects various online tools and services. By connecting two or more apps to your Zapier account, you can automate those mundane, repetitive tasks without needing a background in coding or a developer title.
But first, here are some terms to familiarize yourself with before we dive in.
App: When we say “app,” we’re talking about a web service or application (think AddEvent, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Slack, Google Docs, etc.) that can be integrated into your Zapier account.
Trigger: This is the event that kicks off a “Zap.” When this happens, it signals to the integration to do something else…an action.
Action: When a trigger goes off, it results in an action happening. “If this then that” is the way a Zap works. There can be more than one action in a Zap.
First, you’ll need to connect those apps that you want to merge for this workflow.
For example, you’ll connect your AddEvent account and your CRM account (like Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) to your Zapier account.
Now it’s time to pick your trigger. Remember, this will tell the system, “When this happens, you’re going to start the workflow.”
Then, select the action (or multiple actions) you want to happen when the trigger goes off. For example, when a new RSVP comes in for an event, Zapier will automatically create a new contact in your CRM with that same information.
And, thanks to Zapier’s intuitive drag-and-drop editor, you can visually build this custom automation directly in the editor and get inspiration on the types of triggers and actions you can do with the platform.
Plus, there’s absolutely no need to start from scratch. In just a few minutes, you can use one of the thousands of templates offered to you to create complete automation that will help you reclaim precious hours of your time.

Need some real inspiration to get you started with Zapier? Here are some of our very favorite Zapier integrations for your AddEvent account.
Ready to automate your LinkedIn Ads with the help of your AddEvent account? Believe it or not, there’s a Zap for that! Our most popular template allows you to add new AddEvent attendees to your LinkedIn-matched audiences to ensure that your webinar attendees are actually interested in what it is you’re offering. Every time a new attendee RSVPs to an AddEvent event, this Zap will add the contact to an audience segment to help collect the highest quality leads possible on LinkedIn.

Are you sitting around wondering how your next event is going to look attendance-wise? Well, now you can know in real-time! When you create a Slack + AddEvent Zap, you can set it up to send a message in a specific Slack channel that alerts your team every time a new RSVP attendee comes in.
But that’s not all you can do with Slack + AddEvent — for those who manage communities on Slack; you can use Zapier to create a workflow that creates a new event on your AddEvent calendar when a reaction is added to a message in one of your public channels.
Check out all of the other ways you can integrate these two apps to work seamlessly together.
There are a lot of ways you can use your Zoom and AddEvent accounts to set up automated workflows in Zapier — but one of our favorites has got to be creating new events in AddEvent for new meetings in your Zoom account.
Stay on top of your schedule with this smart and efficient workflow that takes all new meetings scheduled in Zoom and creates an event in AddEvent, automatically updating your event calendar in the process. This means your guests will never miss a meeting, AND your calendar stays up-to-date, simplifying the meeting and webinar coordination process.

Keep track of your AddEvent calendar subscribers by setting up a Zap that automatically creates a new row with the subscriber information in your specified Google Sheet whenever someone subscribes to your AddEvent calendar.
Of course, that’s not all you can do with Google Sheets and AddEvent in Zapier. Check out these other popular templates to start automating and tracking your AddEvent RSVPs, events, calendar subscribers, and more in Google Sheets.

Not enough to get an alert on Slack about a new RSVP attendee from one of your AddEvent events? You can also get a text! This integration sends an SMS to your phone every time there’s a new attendee RSVP.
