The Panellists are:
John Reade, World Gold Council
John Reade joined the World Gold Council in 2017 as Chief Market Strategist. He has more than 30 years’ experience in gold, working in mines, investment banks and hedge funds. He leads the research team and is a member of the World Gold Councils’ executive committee. The World Gold Council is a membership organisation that champions the role gold plays as a strategic asset, shaping the future of a responsible and accessible gold supply chain. Their team of experts builds understanding of the use case and possibilities of gold through trusted research, analysis, commentary, and insights. They drive industry progress, shaping policy and setting the standards for a perpetual and sustainable gold market.
Dr. John Llewellyn, Independent Economics
John is a founding Partner of Independent Economics where he co-heads both the Macroeconomics and Financial Markets team, and the Expert witness and litigation support practice areas; and plays a major role in all of the firm’s economic analysis. John has particularly broad experience, having worked in academia, international and then national policymaking, and in investment banking, and through his long career has published widely on a range of topics. Independent Economics is an independent international advisory that helps businesses and governments to succeed in an increasingly complex and uncertain world. It was founded in 2009 as Llewellyn Consulting by internationally-renowned economist Dr John Llewellyn and Preston J. Llewellyn, who bring deep experience from the academic, policymaking, and investment banking worlds.
Jeremy Sterngold, LGT Wealth Management
He is the Deputy Chief Investment Officer, providing the macro input to the Investment Committee and helping to drive the asset allocation. Jeremy also serves as their Head of Fixed Income, overseeing a team of analysts who undertake fundamental corporate credit analysis and chairs the Fixed Income Committee. Prior to that, he was a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager for KIC and an Associate Portfolio Manager at AllianceBernstein. Jeremy is a CFA charterholder. LGT Wealth Management is a UK-based wealth management firm, part of the international private bank and asset manager LGT Group, owned by the Princely Family of Liechtenstein. When they set up their business in 2008, their aim was to offer a fresh approach to wealth management. The plan was simple: put their clients first by providing a transparent service, designed around what is right for each of them.
Will Nutting, Nutstuff
Will Nutting has been writing about and investing in markets since the 1990s focused on US and global equities. He believes in a common sense and thematic approach to investing, beginning with the macro and drilling down into a long portfolio that is grounded in long term secular trends.
