Laura Beloff is an internationally renowned artist and researcher who is currently a teacher at Aalto University in Finland. Laura Beloff leads the transdisciplinary master's program in Visual Cultures, Curating, and Contemporary Art (ViCCA) at the School of Art, Design, and Architecture, Aalto University. She has been creating art since the 1990s, and her works have been exhibited in museums, galleries, and art events worldwide, including in Denmark, Norway, Belgium, Finland, Germany, Austria, Brazil, and Russia.
Laura Beloff's research explores the intersection of art, technology, and science, often delving into profound philosophical questions that profoundly impact human life, touching on technological manipulation, biology, IT, biotechnology, and living matter. Her research is focused on the interplay between art, humans, artificial entities, and social existence. Beloff's works are distinctive, characterised by wearable objects, programmed structures, and participatory, networked installations.
