Please join us for a special cityCURRENT session featuring Baptist Memorial Health Care’s new SHE (Science, Health, Empowerment) Leads the Way Program on Friday, September 24 from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Central Time via Zoom. This event is designed for middle school through college-age students interested in pursuing a career in science and medicine. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from and connect with guest speaker Nina Tandon, who has three patents and is CEO and co-founder of EpiBone, the world’s first company to grow living human bones for skeletal reconstruction.

Passionate about science education (especially for young girls and in developing countries), entrepreneurship (both science-based and social) and stewardship, Tandon has blazed a path that has encompassed science, education, creation and advocacy. A Fulbright scholar with a bachelor’s, master’s, MBA and doctorate, Nina’s impressive career shows what’s possible for young women who are driven to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and medicine.

The first five teachers to register their class will receive a SHE Leads the Way gift!

About SHE Leads the Way & Baptist Memorial Health Care

Baptist’s SHE (Science, Health, Empowerment) Leads the Way is designed to introduce middle school, high school and college-aged young women to the world of science and health care through empowerment. Participants in the program will have the opportunity to meet leaders in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, and gain practical assistance in expanding their education and reaching their goals through monthly sessions with Baptist Health Sciences University.
