7th Annual SF Urban Film Fest
--
San Francisco is now known as the most expensive housing market in the United States. It’s the opposite of affordable housing. But lurking amidst gleaming towers and $5000/month 1-bedrooms is a hidden city of affordable housing that has a dramatic past and a well-funded future. Walking Cinema: Museum of the Hidden City opens this city of affordability up to audiences and explores how affordable housing in San Francisco is simultaneously a giant failure and an evolving process just coming into its own. Through an immersive audio and augmented reality app, audiences can walk into the first chapter of this four-part series.
All audiences--in San Francisco and beyond--can join the project’s director, Michael Epstein, andone of the featured writer/poets, Samuel Getachew, to explore Museum of the Hidden City’s inventive method of immersive storytelling and the implications for impact through a Zoom panel on Sunday, February 21st at 2:30 PM PST.
