The Dance of Empowerment: Combining Burlesque and Boudoir Self-Portraits

Reconnect with your body, tap into your sensuality, and express your inner radiance through the empowering combination of burlesque dancing and boudoir self-portraits.

Perle Noire (@theperlenoire) will take us through a guided burlesque dance practice of healing through seduction (no previous burlesque or dance experience required). Burlesque is not just a form of entertainment; it is a powerful medium that allows individuals to express themselves fully and authentically.

Melissa (@bymelissaclaire) will bring us through a guided self-portrait practice, where we'll capture our embodied, sensual selves on camera. Self-portraits give us the opportunity to observe ourselves and reflect on our experience of existing in a particular expression. It is a powerful way to see your Self.

This workshop is absolutely FREE. We only ask that you come with an open heart and the willingness to open up to yourself.

To prepare:

• Come dressed in a way that feels best for you and in a way that can help you tap into your sensuality. This could be lingerie for you, your favourite outfit, a luxurious robe, etc.
• The workshop will take place over Zoom, but you will need another device or application ready to capture/record yourself. The easiest option is to have your phone on hand. 
• If you have a tripod, have this ready as well. Don't worry if you don't have one, it's also super easy to do this practice without a tripod.
• Anything else that helps set the mood for you - candles, crystals, tea, essential oils, your favourite lotion, etc.
