Join NCTCOG for the TSI webinar, Water Rights and Green Stormwater Infrastructure, on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 1:00 p.m.
Speakers will give local governments a better understanding of water rights and how they may come into play when installing green stormwater infrastructure in a growing region. This webinar is being offered through NCTCOG’s integrating Transportation and Stormwater Infrastructure (TSI) project.
TSI Webinar Agenda:
Kathy Alexander, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, will provide information on water rights and how state water is regulated.
Brenton Dunn, Tarrant Regional Water District, will share information on their experience as a major water rights holder in the TSI study area (northern and western areas of the NCTCOG region).
Chris Hamilton, Westwood, will provide practical examples and walk participants through a sample checklist to ensure water rights/environmental due diligence.
Fouad Jaber, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, will share his vast knowledge and experience with installing green stormwater infrastructure across the region.
