MEET THE PRESENTERS
Dr. Sarah Kawasaki is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Internal Medicine at the Milton S. Hershey Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, where she directs the Opioid Treatment Program at The Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute (PPI). At Penn State, she mentors addiction medicine fellows who are trainees at Penn State's Addiction Medicine Fellowship, in addition to medical students and residents, teaching about SUD prevention and treatment. She is also involved in several research projects funded by the NIH, NIDA, SAMHSA and the state of Pennsylvania. 

Elizabeth Ward is the Clinical Manager of the AIR Program, where she supervises the clinical team and oversees daily operations in the clinic. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, with 15 years’ experience working in Opioid Treatment Programs in both PA and NJ. She finds joy in helping staff grow professionally, as well as having a front-row seat to patients’ change and success throughout treatment. When not at work, she’s busy juggling life with 3 young daughters.
