Workplace Spirituality: An Interspiritual Counseling and Companioning Concentration

About this Workshop:

Spirituality in the workplace is the key intervention needed to transform consciousness on the planet.

The workplace has, for many, become a profane space led by a singular, bottom-line focus. We have a sense that discussions of faith are not welcome (at best) or illegal (at worst). And yet, inherent within the gathering of humans is the creative potential of the sacred.

This workshop examines the variety of ways that are emerging within the workplace to engage with the fullness of the spiritual lives of workers. The workshop invites all participants to implement a workplace intervention during this workshop timeframe. Those from non-traditional workplaces (self-employed, retired, family-based work, non-paid work, non-profits, small startups) are encouraged to join, as well.

This is not a typical workshop, which focuses on cognitive understanding of researched issues. This workshop touches on those, but focuses on the felt sense of the impact of workplaces that are devoid of Spirit. We locate a key issue in the colonization of the workplace, and help participants locate specific interventions to implement in real time within their workplace.
