Innovating Justice Fund: Impact Investing in Justice Startups

Join us for an inspiring event, where we will explore the opportunities for impact investing in the field of Justice. 

During the session, you will hear from leaders in the field such as Eric Mwangi Kariuki (Justice Accelerator Head, Kenya), Aniket Doegar (CEO of Haqdarshak, a justice scale up) and Jayanth Kashyap (Investment Advisor at FOUNT, a leading impact fund manager and manager of the Innovating Justice Fund). The session will be moderated by  Björn Vennema, Co-Founder & Managing Director of Social Finance NL. 

2030 is getting closer and it is clear that there is still a significant funding gap towards reaching the Sustainable Development Goals. And while the Impact Investing sector is growing rapidly, allocating more and more capital towards impact, some sectors remain lagging behind. SDG 16, and more specifically SDG 16.3, access to justice, sees a significant funding gap and we need a drastic improvement in allocated capital to make justice available for all.

HiiL is devoted to people-centred justice and has almost two decades of experience in creating programmes that aim to deliver justice that is affordable, accessible and easy to understand. Thereby closing the justice gap. 

During the event, we would like to take you along in what is needed to close the justice gap, and how impact investors can play a crucial role in that process. We will share the learnings from working with over 150 startups through their programme the Justice Accelerator, many of which are now ready to scale, and how that has led to the creation of the Innovating Justice Fund. 

Over the course of the session you will engage in an active conversation with peers to discuss those learnings, share best practices and see how we could help each other close the justice gap.
