Dr. Mehtsun is a surgical oncologist whose practice spans endocrine, sarcoma, and general surgical oncology.

Prior to joining UC San Diego Health, she completed a research fellowship in health policy and surgical outcomes research at the Harvard T. ChanSchool of Public Health. She completed residency training in general surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and earned her medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. She also earned a master's in public health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of PublicHealth
